Legal Awareness Cell
The Legal Awareness Cell of Najath College of Science & Technology functions in alignment with the National Legal Literacy Mission launched by the National Legal Services Authority on 6 March 2005, under the motto
“From Ignorance to Legal Empowerment.” This initiative helps marginalised, vulnerable, poor, and deprived sections of society by spreading legal literacy. Its primary objective is to ensure that women, children, and persons with disabilities are aware of their rights, enabling them to live with dignity and equality before the law. At Najath College, the Cell educates students about laws, rights, duties, and responsibilities, nurturing them into responsible, law-abiding citizens. Special emphasis is placed on empowering young women to fight against gender discrimination, domestic violence, sexual harassment, dowry practices, and other social injustices. The Cell also conducts programmes in association with other institutional bodies such as the Anti-Ragging Cell, Anti-Narcotic Cell, Women Development Cell (WDC), and allied committees, thereby ensuring a comprehensive and collaborative approach to student welfare and empowerment.
