Rhythm & Roots’26

The COMPACT Association of B.Com CA at Najath College of Science & Technology, Karuvarakundu, successfully organised Rhythm & Roots’26 on 17 August 2026 at 10:00 AM.
The programme combined life skill training sessions for CA students with vibrant cultural performances.

Dr. Abdul Jaleel. O, Principal of the College, graced the occasion and highlighted the importance of holistic development.

Rhythm & Roots’26 The COMPACT Association of B.Com CA at Najath College of Science & Technology, Karuvarakundu, successfully organised Rhythm & Roots’26 on 17 August 2026 at 10:00 AM. The programme combined life skill training sessions for CA students with vibrant cultural performances.

Consultant Psychologist and Psychotherapist Ms Thara Sherin led the training session, guiding students on decision‑making and personal growth under the theme “Building Better Decisions, Creating Brighter Futures.”

The event saw enthusiastic participation from students, who actively engaged in both the training and cultural segments.
The programme achieved its objective of blending academic enrichment with creative expression, leaving a lasting impact on the participants.

The SIGNET Induction Programme

The SIGNET Induction Programme was held on 07 August 2026 at Najath College of Science and Technology. The event began with a prayer by Rifa & team, followed by a welcome address from Sinan C. Sneha, SIGNET Coordinator, delivered the presidential address, and Principal Dr. Abdul Jaleel O. inaugurated the programme. Felicitations were offered by the Vice Principal and Heads of Departments. The Principal also delivered the keynote address, inspiring the new batch. Abdul Muhaimin proposed the vote of thanks. The afternoon session featured lively cultural programmes, marking a vibrant conclusion to the induction.

The ACTOFYN Induction Programme

The ACTOFYN Induction Programme for first‑year students was successfully conducted at Najath College of Science and Technology on 06 August 2026.

Prayer led by Nandhana and Rinsha, Nandhana, Welcome Address by Joint Secretary, The Presidential Address was given by Prabhula, ACTOFYN Coordinator, Inauguration by Principal Dr. Abdul Jaleel O. The Keynote address was delivered by Salman E.K., Academic Mentor & Life Skill Trainer, who emphasized personal growth and resilience. Felicitations were offered by Vice Principal Muhammed Kunhu and heads of Commerce, English, and Sociology departments. Shibil P. expressed gratitude through the vote of thanks, acknowledging the contributions of all dignitaries. The afternoon session featured vibrant cultural programmes, showcasing the talents of first‑year students. Overall, the induction programme provided a memorable start, blending academic orientation with motivation and cultural celebration.

The Actofin Club of B.Com Finance successfully organized FinQuest 2k26 – A Spot Quiz Competition on 13th July 2026 (Monday). The programme aimed at fostering finance literacy awareness among the department students.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation, with students actively engaging in the quiz rounds that tested their knowledge of core financial concepts and practical applications. The interactive format created a lively atmosphere and encouraged peer learning.

The initiative, coordinated by Ms. Prabhuala, achieved its objective of sensitizing students to the importance of financial literacy and strengthening their analytical skills.

Industrial Visit (25–28 March 2026)

The IV Semester BCom CA & Finance students of Najath College of Science and Technology completed their four-day Industrial Visit from 25th to 28th March 2026.
The itinerary included:
• Ramakalmedu – offering students a refreshing exposure to Kerala’s scenic landscapes and cultural heritage.
• Malanadu Tea Factory (MASCO Tea) – where students observed tea processing operations, gaining practical insights into production, packaging, and distribution.
The visit combined academic enrichment with experiential learning, strengthening students’ understanding of industrial practices while fostering teamwork and a professional outlook.

The Excellence & Empowerment program at Najath College of Science and Technology, Karuvarakundu, was successfully conducted with great enthusiasm. The event began with an inspiring inauguration by Dr. Abdul Jaleel Odengadan, Principal of NCST. Academic toppers and interns were honoured, celebrating their hard work and achievements. Mr. Muhammed Kunhu MK, Vice Principal and IQAC Coordinator, led the felicitation segment with motivating words. Internship certificates were distributed by Mr. M. Fiyas, Member of Block Panchayath, Kalikavu. This recognition highlighted the importance of practical learning alongside academic excellence. The program also featured an Investor Awareness Session by Mr. Akilesh A, ASAP Skill Trainer. His session provided valuable insights into financial literacy and smart investing. Students actively engaged in the discussions, making the event both educational and empowering. Overall, the program successfully combined honouring achievements with skill development, leaving participants motivated to learn and grow further.

The PG Department of Commerce & Management Studies at Najath College of Science and Technology, Karuvarakundu, organised a workshop on Project Management on Friday, 30th January 2026, for the MCom Students.
The session commenced at 10:00 AM in the College Seminar Hall.

The event was inaugurated by Dr Abdul Jaleel Odengadan, Principal of NCST, who emphasised the importance of project-based learning in both academic and professional contexts. The workshop featured Dr Abdul Rasheed PC, Head of the Department of Commerce at KTM College, Punnakkad, as the resource person. His insightful presentation covered key aspects of planning, execution, and evaluation in project management, tailored to the academic and entrepreneurial interests of the participants.

The workshop aimed to equip students with practical tools and strategies for managing projects effectively, fostering both academic excellence and career readiness.

Study Tour BBA 2025 to Munnar

The PG Department of Commerce organised a four‑day study tour for V semester BBA students from 10th to 13th October 2025. Coordinated by Mr Shafeeque Ajmal PT with faculty support, the trip aimed to provide industrial exposure, practical learning, and insights into eco‑tourism and renewable energy.
The journey began with excitement as students departed from the college at night. On arrival in Munnar, they checked into a resort and visited the Tata Tea Museum, observing tea processing and learning about production and marketing. The next day, the group travelled to Ramakkalmedu, where the Wind Energy Farm offered lessons on sustainable energy. Trekking and sightseeing added adventure and strengthened teamwork.
The team returned to college early on 13th October, sharing reflections and feedback. The tour blended learning with exploration, giving students valuable exposure to industry practices, sustainability, and collaborative skills.

First-year students of the Commerce Department undertook an insightful organisation visit to Kurikkal Business Park, Ayyappankavu, under the leadership of Mr. A.M. Abdulla. INFOCOM coordinated the visit as part of its academic-industry interface initiative.

Participants engaged with professionals across various sectors within the park, gaining exposure to business operations, entrepreneurial models, and emerging technologies.

The visit fostered practical understanding and encouraged dialogue on innovation and career pathways.

The session concluded with an interactive Q&A and a token of appreciation presented to the host team.

The visit was a valuable step toward bridging academic learning with real-world enterprise.

INFOCOM – the Club of BCom Co-operation, in association with IQAC, hosted BIZFEST 2025 on 28 October 2025 at the Seminar Hall of Najath College.

Mr. Salman EK, educator, energy coach, and proud alumnus of Najath College, led a powerful session on emotional intelligence, personal growth, and goal setting. His insights resonated deeply with the students.
The event was coordinated under the leadership of Mr Abdulla AM, Club In-charge, and marked a successful step toward holistic student development.
