The "Creativity is Life: Come Be Creative" program was successfully held on 12 March 2025, organised by PG. Department of English in collaboration with ADWILS Media School, Perinthalmanna
Led by Mr Anas Muhammed, the session introduced participants to key design fields, including graphic design, advertising, digital marketing, and UI/UX design.

The event witnessed active engagement, with attendees exploring creative career opportunities and expressing interest in professional training. The visually compelling poster reinforced the program’s emphasis on creativity and innovation. Overall, the session was impactful, inspiring participants to pursue careers in advertising and design.

The PG Department of English, in association with IQAC at Najath College of Science and Technology, Karuvarakundu, successfully conducted "Beyond the Pages: A Book Review Presentation" on 27 August 2024.

Convocation Ceremony Report: MA English Batch 2022-24

The Convocation Ceremony for the MA English Batch 2022-24 was held on November 4, 2024. Prof. T Abdul Ali, a distinguished academic, was the Chief Guest. The ceremony included a keynote address, awarding of degrees, and felicitations. The graduates were congratulated on their achievement, and the event concluded with a vote of thanks.

Language Competencies in the Era of AI

The PG Department of English organized a seminar on "Language Competencies in the Era of AI" on November 20, 2024. The event explored the intersection of language, technology, and AI, featuring a keynote address by Ms. M.K. Vineetha, Assistant Professor at KAHM Unity Women's College.

Ms. Vineetha discussed the evolving role of language competencies in the digital era, emphasizing the importance of human language skills in an AI-driven world. She highlighted the benefits and challenges of AI in language learning, processing, and communication.

The seminar concluded with a Q&A session, sparking valuable insights into integrating AI tools into language education while fostering essential language skills. The event offered a deeper understanding of the challenges and opportunities in language education and communication in the AI age.

Lit Launch: induction program

Lit Launch: BA English Honours Induction Programme

The PG Department of English at Najath College organized Lit Launch, an induction program for newly admitted BA English Honours students. The event featured welcome speeches, faculty introductions, orientation, and cultural performances, providing a warm welcome and introducing students to departmental opportunities.

Book Review Competition on Ram C/o Anandi

Book Review Competition

The PG Department of English, Najath College, in association with IQAC, organized a book review competition on June 19, 2024, for the novel "Ram C/o Anandi". Shamija (MA) and Sana T (UG) presented insightful reviews, with Shamija winning first prize and Sana securing second prize. The event concluded with a prize distribution ceremony graced by MK Vineetha, Assistant Professor at KAHM Unity Women's College.
