The debate club at the college helps the students develop their communicative skills, personality, confidence and leadership skills. The club contributes to raising awareness among the students about current affairs and equips them to express their opinions about social concerns. The club conducts tutorials to train the students in communicative skills, with special reference to the art of debating. The programmes will be designed in such a way that it enhances their language skills and trains them how to use language in real-life situations. The club would make the students realize the importance of knowing before arguing. They will also become aware of the importance of having an independent perspective and the significance of critical thinking as an important tool of knowledge.
